Board

The Cardston & District Public Library Board was established under the Alberta Libraries Act and Regulations. The Board consists of members of the community from the Town of Cardston and the County of Cardston. Also, a member of the Town Council sits on the Board. Board members are appointed by the Town or County councils for three year terms and can be reappointed for a maximum of three terms.

The Library Board is responsible for all aspects of the Library, including setting policies for the Library, preparing budgets and overseeing employees. Through the staff, the Board is also responsible for the Library's collections, programs, services, budget, building and equipment, as well as providing the best possible service.

Committed to enhancing library services, the Jim and Mary Kearl Library has a dedicated group of Board trustees.
